All right.. It was going to get a little crazy having everyone submit Top 5 requests and then trying to piece together a buy list from it. So here's the new plan:

Each year is split into quarters. Within each quarter are 3 buying periods. The 1st and 2nd will be assigned to a member to develop a "Buy List" (more on that in a second.) The 3rd qtr will be the "special buy" and that purchase will be determined by a cabal of 3 members (to be determined each qtr by volunteers.) If those volunteering to be in the cabal is larger than 3, then we'll draw to see who is in. The cabal rules will be developed at a later time.

For the 1st and 2nd buying periods in a qtr, we'll have a list of who will determine sample buy lists. That list will rotate among the members. Should your turn come up and you not wish to do it, you need to notify Jorge and/or myself ASAP. The next person on the list will be told and they will have a chance to develop a Buy List. If that person does not wish to develop a Buy List then the Buy List responsibility will revert to Guy or myself. The next month, the Buy List will be assigned to the next person on the list after those that passed.

When developing a Buy List, you'll need to do a little bit of research. Each possible choice needs to add up to $850 or less. Preferrably, each choice on the list will have 4-5 boxes.

I will be tracking what the final buy is so if anyone wants to know what has been bought, they can PM me.

So, with that in mind... I'll go first and I'm going to present the following the following choices, vote accordingly:

#1
Cohiba Corona Especiales - CoH 269.00
ERDH Choix Supreme - CoH 142.00
H. Upmann Lonsdales - CoH 162.00
Punch Coronas - CoH 149.00
HdM Short Hoyo Coronas - CoH 125.00

#2
Cohiba Corona Especiales - CoH 269.00
Monte #4 - CoH 121.00
Bolivar Beli Fino - Promo 189.00
Trinidad Reyes - CoH 140.00
Punch Royal Selection #12 - CoH 125.00

#3
Cohiba Corona Especiales - CoH 269.00
H. Upmann #2 - Promo 204.00
Vega Robainas Clasicos - CoH 195.00
R. Alones Spec. Sel. - Promp 171.00

#4
Cohiba Corona Especiales - CoH 264.00
Monte Edmundo CoH 201.00
Partagas 8-9-8 (varnished) - CoH 187.00
Trinidad Coloniales - CoH 195.00

As you can see, I also added a tickler in there for who had the best price. There are only a few places that will normally have the best prices (and that we'll buy from right now like Cigarsofhabanos, Promocigars, etc) so it's pretty easy to determine. The tickler is necessary so that Jorge is not spending too much time trying to track down a box. There are other dealers and while they might have better prices, they don't all include free shipping in their prices. I found a helluva deal on RASSs but they did not include shipping. When I priced the rest of their stuff, they were $10-15 over everyone else.

I'll see if I can get a post pinned to the top with my original price grouping so we'll have a base guide for what cigars fall into what price range. If you want to present a small corona Buy List option with 6 boxes of that average under $125 and another with 5 boxes from the $150 range, that's fine, it's your Buy List. The only qualifications are that you must submit at least 2 Buy List options to the group on your turn with at least 3 boxes on one of the lists. There is no max as long as you stay under $850 and no machine mades.

Your Buy Lists don't have to equal $850. Anything left over from the 1st and 2nd periods will be tacked onto the 3rd period. Anything left over from the 3rd period will roll to the next qtr's 3rd period.

If you have any questions post them here or PM me. I'll post these Buy List options in a new thread in a bit after everyone gets a chance to read this post.

maybe the above post could be made into a "poll" format so we can get one of those neat bar graphs!

do you just need in to look at their prices??? If so, you don't need to go through the whole referral process. You only gotta be a "member" to make a purchase.

If you need a referral though, I could do it, even though I've never purchased from them.

Oh, forgot to vote...I like #4.

Will you put up a link to them for me Scott or PM with it? I really just need to look up prices for now, I don't have any extra money to buy a damn thing with.

So Mike, are you going to buy with us? We can easily just send yours to Cozumel for the summer, or to your wife in roundrock?
