  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I just received mine today and wasn't impressed with the fit and finish. It had loose "flash" from excess plastic, including inside the slide areas and even around the blade edges. Some flash had been trimmed off the outside of the Palio, but left careless scrape marks from the trimming. Visually, it is ugly and sloppy.

Ive only owned 2 Zino Davidoff guillotines and they were perfectly clean out of the box.

I know it will cut cigars well, but the "out of box" experience has been spoiled when compared to previous experiences.

Are my expectations set too high? -Or am I just whining?
Definitely get a replacement sent from the place you got it from. If that replacement isn't right, then just get a refund from them because it could be a fake!

CWL....Get it replaced. There was a batch that came out, that had flashing issues. It was a new compound they were using and have since returned to the old compound. I believe that was the story I heard. I know a couple guys here had that issue and have since received their replacements.

i would suggest calling Palio getting the replacement directly from Palio. Why? What if the retailer has more of the same batch?

Been smoking for 10+ years and finally spent money on a Palio a month ago... wondered what I've been doing without it for this long. Haven't lost a finger yet.
