I've got a small 14' jon boat with a deck, 9.9, and a trolling motor that I take to a couple local lakes to fish. My 20+ year old fish finder bit the dust recently and I'm looking to replace it in the next month or so. Reading reviews on amazon is giving me a headache. Does anyone have any recommendations for sub $150 fish finders?

Technology has improved so much thru the years I would think most are comparable at that price range. I've used Lowrance/ Eagle products for thirty plus years and to me they're the best for the money. There are multiple fishing forums you should look up.
good luck!

Those are the 2 I think I've limited down to, the Lowrance Hook 4 and the Garmin Striker Plus 4vc. They both seem to have similar features, positive reviews, and are both around $180. I think I'll head to academy or bass pro and see what I think about them in person.
