  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This 6×52 cigar features a dark brown oily wrapper with firm construction, minimal veins, tight seams and a soft tobacco aroma. First light reveals a rich decadent smoke with sweet oily deep tobacco and pepper flavors. The draw is perfect and the finish is long and zingy. The first third develops to a deep earthy leather with a big black pepper wash that carries over to the long finish. The burn is perfect, the ash bright white and the draw still fantastic. 30 minutes in to the 1/2 way point flavors transitioned to an oily creamy coffee flavor, smoke output doubled getting very thick and rich. It also has quite a strength kick, sneaking up on me making me a little dizzy. Ending at 55 min, the remainder was the same as the last point of change, keeping the nice creamy theme going on while the finish held a tiny bit of pepper and gave a very dry parched mouthfeel.

Nice review. i got a couple of these in the humidor. I am also going to do a review on them as well. I can never pass up anything produced by Jaime Garcia and the My Father factory.

I guess my point would be that it was a more expedient burn for that particular vitola. I've had some Toro's last easily 1 hour and 45 minutes plus. Nice flavor profile with the Forcade.

That's my point - some last significantly longer than others, you can't peg a certain time to a vitola. I have cigarillos that outlast this toro. I have Churchills that barely go 45 min. It's all about the blend, not the size.
