Cigar C is the last blind cigar review that Neil (Fourtotheflush) has us writing and making an educated guess on.
prelight and uncut impressions
Size: Toro 6" x 52 Ring Gauge
Fourtotheflush is certainly throwing me a curve ball with two Toro size cigars, but it appears that this cigar has a slightly larger ring gauge than cigar B. Cigar C has a double cap with one of them extending well below the shoulders of the cigar, meaning the cap goes beyond the curved area of the head. To me, the cap style reminds me of what I see on the Liga Privada lines. The wrapper color is a Colorado Maduro. There is some roughness to the wrapper, and it is veiny. It also feels heavy in the hand.
Without actually smoking the cigar, Im taking a shot in the dark with this guess. My pre-light & uncut guess is a Liga Undercrown Gran Toro.
Here's a side-by-side comparison with my pre-light & uncut guess.
cold draw description
My saliva condensates on the wrapper. The draw can only be described as perfect.
1st third flavor and description
Right away the cigar is giving off a ton of smoke, very Liga-esque. It has some nice spice and sugar like sweetness with a floral and woody flavor. It has a nice white ash. It has and held a razor like burn line.
2nd third flavor and description
Oops. I am enjoying the cigar so much I forgot to snap a photo. The aroma of the second half is also Liga-esque, having a pleasant signature candle like smell. The flavor begins to take on more of a dark chocolate taste profile. A slight sweetness remains. Just below the burn line, oils begin to form on the wrapper. There is also a coffee like taste with that woody flavor to the finish.
final third flavor and description
The flavor profile starts out the same as the second third, but I am not picking up the sweetness. The coffee and woody finish is probably more pronounced and the oils just below the burn line is no longer visible.
Overall
Yet another enjoyable cigar offered by Neil. Thank you again. It isnt overly complex but this is certainly a cigar I would consider a box worthy purchase. If it is the cigar that I think it is, I cannot wait to see how this smokes in a few years with some age.
My final guess after smoking the cigar... I got lucky here and will stay with my original pre-light & uncut guess, a Liga Undercrown Gran Toro.
