  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I have an extra ticket to the DE Barn Smoker event in Hopkinsville KY on Oct 3. Bought 2 when they were available, my buddy can't make it, so the extra is up for grabs here!

The only catch is that we will have to show up together, since both tickets are in my name. I double checked with DE customer service and they said that's fine. (I've printed a copy of that email from DE's guy to bring along, just to be safe.)

First person to claim it here, gets it - if that person has to bail, it will go to the next person in line, and so on. (Assuming that there's some interest in this.)

It starts at 10am, so I figure I'll get there right around then.

Here's the email that DE just sent to me on the subject:

We hope you're getting excited about attending the 2nd annual Kentucky Fire Cured Barn Smoker! It's shaping up to be a great event, and we wanted to provide you with a few details to help you know what to expect from the event.

Address:

1595 John Rives Spur
Hopkinsville, KY 42240

The best method for getting to the farm is to use Google Maps. It will take you very close to the farm and you can follow our signs from there.

Schedule:

Registration starts at 8:30am and the event officially kicks off at 10am. If you arrive after 10am, you risk missing parts of the tours.

Lunch will not be served until 1pm so, if you know you'll be hungry by then, bring a snack to tide you over. There will be no food served until then.

Tours will take place between 11am and lunch time, and after lunch will be the raffles and time for hanging out and herfing. We have a great raffle lined up including Kentucky Fire Cured cigars and limited edition art from Subculture Studios. The raffle will support Cigars For Warriors, with 100% of proceeds going to their charity organization. Bring cash to purchase raffle tickets!

There will also be a cash bar on site which will accept cash and credit card. You must have a valid ID to purchase alcohol.

FAQ

1. There will be one cigar pack provided per attendee. There will be no exceptions to this policy.

2. This event will happen rain-or-shine.

3. You must be of legal smoking age to attend this event.

Would love to see a report on how much fun was had!
You got it bro, I'll do a pics thread and link to it here for ya. (y)

The highlight so far is finding a hole in the wall B&M along the way, that had some Anejos and FFOX Angel's Shares at decent prices. Smoking one of the Anejos right now and kicking myself for only buying 2. I joked with the guy that I'd probably be back on Sunday for more... He said "see ya Sunday", and I think he was right...
