I love that you finally snapped a pic of the pre-embargo cigar menu! I heard about it but had not seen a photo yet.

What do you think? The '58 Fonseca, or the 1932 Peter Schuyler?

being a fat kid, the plates looked too empty to me... o)

that said, it looked like AMAZING food, and a killer experience. i truly hope you enjoyed the shit out of it, sir.

Yes portions were small... I didn't photo every course, because quite honestly I ate a few before remembering to take a pic, how's that for fat boy Java? However, while you don't leave stuffed, you leave completely and utterly satisfied, which I feel is part of the experience, balance!

and a venue like that AIN'T the value buffet, stuffing yourself is NOT the point. leaving satisfied, however, IS. i do hope this memory stays with you for years, brother, and that the food was a vehicle to enrich your life. at that level, at that price, that IS the ENTIRE point. and it sounds like it succeeded...
