Holy cow! :eyequiver
Saw this at my local b&m today:
It's a special gift box made by Prometneus International, the folks who package up special/custom/rare Fuentes. Same people who made the DVD set in the current Prometheus/Fuente box pass. This set is called the "Fuente Fuente Forbidden X Serie Robusto" and contains 4 cigars, each packaged in an individual coffin, and then packed into a larger wooden box. The 4 cigars are:
(1) Forbidden X Uno 2006 COFF 1 Natural 5 1/4 x 50
(2) Forbidden X Dos 2004 COFF 1 Natural 6 1/4 x 48 (aged 3 years)
(1) Forbidden X Tres 2006 COFF 1 Natural 5 3/4 x 52
Each box serial-numbered, with a certificate of authenticity
Total Release: 5,000 Boxes
Price per box: $150.00
(FWIW, I've heard that $50 goes to the Cigar Family charity, which is typical of Prometheus.)
My b&m has 4 boxed sets available. Looks like Famous Smoke Shop has them available online, as does Holts.
IMHO, $37.50 per cigar is beyond ridiculous. But if you were so inclined to purchase a gift of this magnitute for someone, it'd certainly knock their socks off.
I won't be buying one, but I'd definately accept one as a gift. okemyeye
