  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I finally pulled this grande robusto out of the humidor & decided that today was the day to light this badboy up.

Right off the bat - I'm impressed.

This looked great, smelled great, cut nicely, draw is perfect, ash is near picture perfect, burn is even & consistant.

This is medium to full, rich, smooth & toothy cigar with a little bit of a bite when retrohaling.

If you handed this to me unbanded (btw, I like the look of the 'new-age' foot-band) then told me this was new from Pepin - I would have believed it without question. (A good thing to me.)

The difference is this: while there is definitely some pepper-like qualities to this stick, what really stands out is this recurring cinnamon flavor. A real nice touch.

A perfectly formed 2" ash is still holding on & it occurs to me that I think this blend will be incredible with some age.

One other thing - This is evolution. I say that because I don't care for Gran Habano, even the famed 3 Siglos, fell flat for me. The new G.A.R. is a real step in a good direction according to my pallet.

I will definitely pick up some of these & even hide a few to see what time will do to these treats.
