G.A.R. Vanguard

George A. Rico, maker of G.A.R. cigars and also the popular Gran Habano line, is releasing the G.A.R. Vanguard, a Nicaraguan puro that uses plenty of ligero tobacco.

Has anybody tried these yet?

uncelnino (dave) gave me one of these to try about a week or so ago to try. I finally got around to smoking it last night, it was a damn good smoke.

For me, about 1/2 way between a medium to a full bodied smoke. I felt like I could definately taste a decent amount of Ligero. Size wise it was suppose to be a Corona Gorda.

I definately would recommend it, don't know what the price point is though.

I forgot to mention that since I inhale thru my nose it did give me that spicey/tingly feeling...that's what I look for in a smoke!

I'll definitely keep my eye out - I actually enjoyed the original GAR. Had a cinnamon quality to it...

guess you have to stick to small ring gauges or have very large nostrils. :rolling: j/k

The Vanguard was a freebie from uncelnino, so to tell the truth, I haven't tried any other G.A.R.'s....I would definately buy more of the G.A.R. Vanguard though!

Down another $5 @ Holts this week $75/40. Loved the G.A.R. (white label on foot).
Any other recommendations/experiences on the Vanguards?
