GB - Cigar Bands

Hey guys,

I just got an email from Bob Ramstad letting people know he is organizing another round of blank cigar bands. These are really great quality bands that have been sold on the boards for years. I have bought from him and many people here have as well with great success. If you are thinking about getting bands, do yourself a favor and buy these. I have nothing to do with the sale, just wanted to post the info here as he said he wasn't posting the info on all the forums but is happy to allow anyone in the GB.

"The preferred quantity is $40 for 1000 bands. 500 bands is $25 and 2000 bands is $75. (Add $35 for each additional 1000.) I prefer checks and money orders. PooPal is OK but slightly more $$ to cover the fees. I'll also consider trades for cigars, pipe tobacco or pipes."

What ever purpose you like. Dates, what an unbanded stick is, who you got it from, ect. Basically any "notes" you need for a cigar.

Cool why are these bands so sworn by? Are there crappy custom/blank bands goin around?

Yes there are some crappy ones out there that don't stick together, don't look good etc. These look good and are very high quality that stays stuck together.

I have some of the other ones that fall off way to easy and dont stick well but they work, i will be giving them away in bombs for "use until you get better".

He's done this band for years, can't imagine he would change or do a 2nd kind... just my opinion though.

Ryan, or anyone else who knows Bob, has he ever considered doing non-ornamental bands, just a flat strip instead? I tend to cut mine in half, as I just want a thin band to write box codes or the name of whoever gifted the stick to me on it, and don't really want a ginormous decorative white band.

I cut them in half when needed and write small; they work fine. I agree with Ryan in that there is no reason for Bob to make a change.
