Hello BOTL and SOTL,
My name is Ian and I'm located just outside Canberra, Australia. I am in the IT industry and currently working for Fujitsu.
I've been an occasional smoker of cigars for about five years and pipes for about two.
Being in Australia I have the advantage of being allowed to import Cuban's, but the disadvantage that the government here has seen fit to virtually destroy the local industry with insanely high taxes on tobacco (currently AU$916.72/kg or US$20/oz I think).
My favorite cigar is/was the Nub Maduro, for pipe tobacco it's Squadron Leader. As I only smoke very occasionally, my Cubans are aging nicely while my NC's are getting stale
One thing I have noticed about the various smoking forums I've joined is how friendly BOTL are. Easily the nicest communities I've come across!
Looking forward to meeting some more BOTL and learning from the veterans.
