I was hoping to see someone with a little more knowledge of the area step up but I'll take a stab. Tybee is a great little island. I went there a lot throughout college. You can always count on a nice day at the beach and a delicious seafood meal and cigar to cap the night. Make sure you bring your own cigars though. I haven't seen any cigar shops worth buying anything at. Hopefully you can prove me wrong. You shouldn't have a problem finding a beach front seafood restaurant/bar with a porch/balcony. Marlyn Monroes is one. There are others on the main strip near the pier. For the best seafood on the island check out The Crab Shack. It isn't near the main beaches. You'll see a sign on the right once you get on the island. Nothing like fried gator! If you're in to the Civil War, Fort Pulaski is worth checking out.
Every time we went to Tybee, we had to spend some time in Savannah. My sister recently moved there so I should be getting an excuse to get back down there! For cigars, try Bogart's Classic Cigar Parlor at 405 W. Congress St. I can't personally vouch for it, but it's all I got. I have been to a couple myself and like the ones on Tybee, I wasn't too impressed with the selection. What they did have was over priced. Hopefully you can fill ME in. Howeverm for great food and beer, go to Moon River on Bay St. Get their Swampfox IPA and you wont be disappointed. Mexican dinner with 5 people, wait for the balcony at Lizzy's on River st. Hope this helped a little
Have a great trip Larry
