Today is a good day.
Sugar Bowl 2009: No one gave them a chance. The SEC is too strong, Alabama has too great of a football tradition, the offensive line is too strong, too fast and too big, what state is Utah in? They don't recruit out of high school.
Since the selections came out around a month ago these were just a few of the things that were said and heard about the Sugar Bowl match up that was played last night. No one gave Utah a shot in hell to pull off a win, yet alone a big win.
Last night was a huge win for the football program I support, love and cherish and now I think they deserve a little respect.
Should they be National Champions? They are the only undefeated team in college football, they do have the longest consecutive bowl winning record, they did beat OSU, who was the only team to beat USC, they did beat the team who held the number one spot for most of the year and they are one hell of a football TEAM.
I know they are not going to be "The" National Champions, however I do think that they way they played last night that they could have beat anyone. A piece of the Championship would be nice. They are the campions in my eyes.
