Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
haha i think you forgot to mention that last part but that does not sound like a bad idea at all joesweet!! i love fishing!! got a double-wide trailer at the colorado river. combined with a 18' Skeeter bass boat and my gloomis gear and i'm set!! also love to fish the san diego bay, and the surrounding areas. also love the stream fishing once a year near mammoth! also, love anytime i can get out!! did i mention i love to fish?
We had a great time out there. Don't waste your time on the pier. Look for the rocky beach areas along the coast. The setup we used was a high low set up similar to catfishing but with a single hook. We used shrimp and squid for bait and killed them. We released quite a few cabezons as well as undersized greenlings. Good luck out there!Well it looks like I am for sure going this weekend. Gordy what was your setup out there? What did you use for bait?
sorry joe i didnt even see this one..Well it looks like I am for sure going this weekend. Gordy what was your setup out there? What did you use for bait?
I really hate the hippy tofu farting retards that run the enviroment in CA. Families have fished in these places for over a century, whole businesses are based on these waters. The fact that these enviro-nazis do not care what businesses they destroy and what lives they ruin is BS. Nature adapts to us and there will always be fish, the ocean is pretty plentiful. The article says fishermen and anglers, etc. participated in this decision is a flat out lie also. CA is closing down parks and recreation areas and Fish and Game can barely afford to patrol all they have to patrol as it is. This is a stupid, uneduacated, flagrant decision. It looks like they are going to be shutting down our secret fishing spot: www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/08/05/MNI619406P.DTL
This is exactly the kind of "conservationist" thinking that made me want to become an environmental lawyer. As a recreational fisherman they were passing regulations and closing areas but leaving the commercial guys alone. It's just ridiculous. There needs to be balance. That is a pretty dumb argument instead of clambing down on trawlers and illegal fishing operations they decide to tackle the recreational fisherman. This is incredibly stupid large trawlers and fishing fleets can riund up all the tuna, salmon, sharks and whales they want create unnatural ponds in the middle of the atlantic to fatten up their catches but we'd rather go after you andyou weekend hobby.
