  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This Robusto is typically a Vegas Robaina cigar: honeyed and spicy with a superb construction which can be compared to the Cohiba Robusto. The tempo is good, you will definatly appreciate the flavours and the virility of this cigar. Only strong men need apply! Try it with a Bordeaux French wine or a heavy Californian Pinot Noir!

Full of the Partagas power that we all search for, in a format which just seems right. This Robusto, one of the top selling Havanas, is strong and full bodied, exploring aromas of wood and spice in equal doses. Colorado to Maduro, but always constructed to perfection, this is a Cuban classic.A connoisseurs cigar!

I'm voting for the BOLIVAR CORONAS. Here is a recent review from Jan 31, 2007.

Darker than usual wrappers on these. AH, Bolivars! Most have a vein or two and they oil up beautifully with a few weeks in a properly regulated humidor set at 65-68%. You can crank it up to 70% if, like me, you are putting them up for long term aging. A squeeze between the fingers revealed an even, supple roll. Nice looking cap and a rich, earthy aroma completes the pre-light description. The cigars light up right away and combustion was better than adequate. Most sticks burned right through without a re-light. The draw was just this side of firm and opened up just shy of halfway through. The firm ash was the correct speckled grey. Flavor started out medium/strong and got stronger from there. The smoke was thick and rich with loads of leather, pepper, and earth. Nice! The flavor of the few I've smoked from my late '05 batch was a bit conflicted in the way that young, strong tobacco can sometimes be but these give every indication that they will mature into truly memorable classics. I'll let you know. - Submitted by greg258 on January 31, 2007
