I tried a Gurkha ??(Red Label) yesterday. I didn't care for it. It was hard to get lit at first. It tasted only slightly creamy. I prefer a CAO Gold.

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
Oh shit! I might not have had a Centurian then. :innocent: I don't know what I had. This was about 6" long with approximately a 50 ring gauge. I don't know what it is b/c I got it in a sampler pack of 16 different cigars. It had the red Gurkha band. It was a torpedo.Bummer, I love these smokes. You may have had a dud. The perfecto is harder to light and draw at first, because of the small opening on the foot, but once it opens up it should be good to go.
That is not what I had. It had the exact same band on it though. What could I have had then? The Gurkha Centurian is a 6x60 perfecto with a red Gurkha band. here's a link

maybe but the master select has the green red and gold band. Gurkha uses the original red band on several different sticks.I think you had a Master's Select.
