  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Ever had the Gurkha Ancient Warrior? If so and you liked that maybe i could point out a few that might interest you. Other than that all teh Gurkhas I've had were dog rockets.

nope recently i have really enjoyed

diesel unholy cocktail
RP sungrown
nub camroon
CAO black/italia/brazillia

i think the reason we have so many gurkhas is the whole "such a great deal" thing and buying them in mega samplers. but anywho looking to expand my collection with some new things i usually enjoy about everything above medium the only exceptions i have come across is the AB maxx and the CAO Mx2. i did not enjoy either of those and let them burn out less than half way through,

Gurkha Evil. I was pleasantly surprised by this cigar. I've only smoked the torpedo though. Also Gurkha Archive. Very good cigar, but I like the Evil better.

I thought the royal brigade was a pretty good counter to the centurion xx. I believe it was a Cameroon wrapped version of the same blend. It's been a while since I smoked a gurkha but nothing smoked better than a centurion xx as far as gurkha goes. It's been years since my last gurkha though. Did I mention its been a while since I had a gurkha?

The shoppette here at Salerno sometimes has Brick House cigars in Robusto. They're actually really good, but you may want to age them for a couple weeks since shoppette humidors don't seem very stable. I mentioned the humidity in ours was low (51%). The manager took steps to fix it, but now it's pushing 80%. And since the AC in the shoppette can't keep up, the temperature is also pushing 80F. Good thing these cigars move fast.

I have not had any Gurkha's in a while, if you are able to buy online Famous has a lot of "value lines" and are really good. I love the Famous Nic blend, give them a try.

Not a big fan of Ghuka.
I have found a couple of their cigars that I like, but their quality just isnt there.
On that I like is the Centurian when I get a smokeable one. Ive had about 10 Ghurka Centurians with at least 4-5 of them having major quality/burn issues.

So I would go next to

Diesel UC and/or Shorty
MOW

Or you can go
Joya de Nicaragua (jdn) 1970 - Gran Consul being my favorite vitola.

Do not try any Tatuaje product as you will be hooked and condemned to find all the HTF releases that they put out every year.
I keed I keed.

Not having smoked either Gurkha I can't help there but as far as the others, Padron 2000 are similar to the deisel only better for around $5 a stick, Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Maduro for like $2 and very similar to the deisel.

They arent my cup of tea and for the most part too expensive for what you geet. Great packaging though but there are better cigars worth the money you will pay. Thanks for your service though.
