  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Hello Brothers!

I have a box of H.Upmann Sir Winstons that are from 2003. The band on these cigars is similiar to the Monte bands. Can someone tell me when the Upmann bands went to this type of band? I'm used to seeing the Sir Winstons with the embroidered shiny bands. Are these genuine? This is my first box of Upmanns.

Thanks BOTL!!!!!!!!!

Not being very familiar with Sir Winstons, I am curious what the answer is about the bands since many/most of the other H. Upmanns have the Montecristo type band. What say ye, Tuba? :scratchhe :help:

From the MRN book:

"The cigar band has three versions, oval golden white ones in early versions, changed to plain brown ones after the early 1980's. A small number of cigars with ordinary H. Upmann bands were produced around mid-2000."
