Okay, so awhile back i asked if anyone had tried the Upmann Signature. No one had and I believe it was Moro who said I should try it and put up a review. Now I still consider myself a noob when it comes to cigars. Ive only been smokin about 2 years now, and havent actually thought that much about the flavors and such. so here it goes
H. Upmann Signature-
Price:$6.75
Wrapper: Nicaraguan Connecticut
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Honduras, Nicaraguan, Peru
Beverage: Fresca
Pre-smoke:
The first thing I noticed was that the cigar was pretty soft. The wrapper was almost perfect with a small break in it. The wrapper seemed to have a buttery/ nutty smell. The foot was about the same.
Smoking:
I started to light the cigar with my colibri lighter but it craped out. So i went in the kitchen and got out the butane torch i got a long time ago. Finished lighting the stick but wasnt too happy with the light. The first thing to came to mind was a very easy draw. Lots of thick smoke came with the first draw and it stayed that way till the end. It was very light at the beginning and had a buttery taste to it. Now during the middle of the cigar I got destracted. My house backs up to the " ghetto", and someone was getting arrested. Apparently, the cops were in the wrong because I heard someone yell " Hey, you cant be 'rrestin' dat boi hes my brohta. dat stuff aint his, hes holdin it for a cuzin". So I wasnt able to really pay attention to the cigar during this time. By the time the blue lights were gone i was on the last third of the cigar. It had picked up more hints of woody flavor, i was thinkin more of a cedery type. I finally called it quits when it was gettin close to the band and i was gettin cold.
Conclusion:
Overall, I would say this is a pretty good smoke. However, it was alittle to mild for me. I would suggest it to someone who was just gettin into cigars. Lastly, the price. I think that it was little bit much, I could get a much better cigar for the price. So thats it. My first review hope its helpful.
