  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

this stick was was spicy/peppery to start. after the first inch it mellowed out a bit but i got a nice nic buzz by that point. the second third calmed down a lot and was very smooth and earthy, almost nutty, by the midway point. the last third kicked back in with the spice but was, again, very smooth and tasty the whole way through. i gotta say i loved this stick and can't wait to smoke another.

i also have to say i loved the simple band of this smoke and the cigar's construction was impeccable. here are some quick p&s snaps. i have to admit i wanted to post this review only to include the 3rd picture, of the gigantic ash that held on to this thing!

thanks for reading my review...

Thanks for the review, I really enjoyed the Series A until they got stupid with the pricing! I'll have to give the Series F a try.

IMO, the Habana Leon is one of the best cigars on the market. Whoever hiked the price (Hirsch or Garcia) was a complete idiot. With the price's of Pepin's cigars, I'm thinking it was Mr. Hirsch. A $40 per box increase turned a happy regular customer into a pissed off customer. I haven't bought a box since the price increase.

I wish it were only 40 bucks more for the series A. CK has them at $599.95 a box up from $275 a few years ago!

strife, what is the difference between the (older?) series A and the (newer?) series F?
Well never having smoked the Series F, the size is all that comes to mind (Series A is more than 9"). If I'm not mistaken they're both the same blend. I'll have to try the Series F, if it's half of what the "A" is I'll be stocking up before CK raises the price again!
