  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

has anyone tried Old Homestead cigars?

I was putzing around on Emerson's and noticed this brand, Old homestead. I got pretty excited when I noticed the binder is made from Wsconsin tobacco. Can't find any reviews or comments on it so I figured I would post up here and see what I can find.

You never know man, give it a try. I haven't had it but always keep a open mind. This is one if the reasons I love the pipe. This country was actually built on tobacco and when I know I'm smoking something like a good Virginia blend from the states there is a certain pride attribute from the smoke. Let us know though if you decide to give it a whirl.

This really tickled my interest as well. I may have to order some myself just to check it out.

Here are a couple of articles on Wisconsin tobacco if anyone is interested. Nowadays tobacco that it grown in Wisconsin is used for chew but it was used at one time, many years ago for cigars. There are also a couple varieties of plant that is called "Wisconsin Tobacco" but not neccesarily grown in Wisconsin that are used for cigars.
