  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Any of the guys from NY a member of the Havanas Club at the Carltun in East Meadow, NY?

Myself and some others are joining Friday. The place is outstanding and I highly recommend it.

If anyone is a member, or would like to check it out one night, drop me a line.

Been there many times with a buddy who's a member. The place is definitely cool it has a top notch bar and great food. The reasons I've never joined and probably never will is they're only open on Tuesdays thru Saturdays after 4:30. It's more convenient to go to Matador or J Barbera to chill and have a smoke at any time I want and if I'm hungry or want a drink there's plenty of places right near both of them.

Matador is in Roslyn and J Barbera is in Garden City. They are both cigar stores/lounges so no food or drink service like at Havanas. They both have excellent humidor stock and comfy seating. You don't have to be a member at either to smoke just purchase a couple of sticks and you can chill. They are both open 7 days a week which is more convenient if you want to watch a game or something. Check them both out before you go dropping $750 to join Havanas.

Not being open on Sundays is pretty meh, but I'm young and I waste $60 per month on the stupidest things imaginable. At least with this I won't feel like I am lighting my money on fire.

The humi is very nice. They have two, very large walk ins, surrounded by glass. Personal locked boxes with your name engraved on them. From what I have heard there is little to no problem with the humidity. I know a few people who are members and no one has any complaints.

And I agree, $60, I spent that a month on bs. They also have a very nice dining area with wine and drink specials. 4 course meal, each pared with a wine for $55. I heard the food is outrageous.

Oh, the best part, lingerie shows every month :)
