Heading West Aug 31 - September 9

Alright. The family and I are going to try this vacation thing again this year. Will be flying out on Aug 31 to Vegas for a couple days to attend a friend's wedding. Not sure that I'll have time to meet up, though I want to hit up Casa Fuente so we'll see if I can work in a sit down. Then we're driving out to Bakersfield to visit my wife's dad. Will be flying back home on Sept 9. Going to be doing some family stuff like visiting Disney World (Land?) and perhaps a trip to the beach one day. Not sure what else right now. Would like to maybe work in a meet up with some of you Cali guys. At the very least if there are any suggestions about some place to visit while there. Understand that the prices are higher in Cali so won't be buying much and most of my smoking will probably take place pool side, but would be fun to get out and visit a shop...especially if there happens to be an event going down.

Dan the Man! I can try and get the boys together. What night were you thinking of meeting up and what city will you be in when you are in SoCal?

Can I suggest Buena Vista Cigar Lounge in Beverly Hills?

While you are in Bakersfield (about 120 miles south of here) there is a pretty good cigar lounge on 17th street. I even think it is called the 17th Street Cigar Lounge (odd name! lol) I hit it up when I am down there for work. They have beer and wine and a decent, but small walk in humi. Friendly staff and friendly regulars that don't mind strangers taking a seat at the bar.

The plans are this:

1.) Flying out Friday late afternoon and arriving in Vegas. Will be staying at the Rampart.
2.) Will be in Vegas for a wedding on Saturday.
3.) Leaving Vegas Saturday evening and driving to the wife's dad's house in Bakersfield.
4.) Staying a day there and then leaving for Anaheim.
5.) Will be staying at the Residence Inn on Clementine. Wife and in-laws have a 3 day pass to Disney Land. I will not. I'll be at the hotel kicking back with the daughter for the most part.
6.) Leaving from LAX on Sunday afternoon.

There's a few places we'd like to visit and some places we want to eat at. Also her dad and I will probably hit up some local breweries. Other than that there aren't any real definite plans. So I can be a little flexible on meeting up if anyone's free and will be in the area.

Hey, I live 3 miles from there. I'm busy Thursday evening, but you're welcome to come by any other evening. If you're free on Saturday, we could herf at my house and invite all the brothers!

I am down for setting up a LA Herf either Tues, Wed, or Thurs. at Buena Vista in Beverly Hills. Maybe some dinner and then cigars at the lounge? Let me know if you are interested and I will rally the troops.

I'd be up for it. It would probably have to be that Thursday though as the first part of the week everyone else will be hitting Disney Land pretty hard.
