  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Don't know how the recent ones are, but the original release was pretty bland. Of the three ( also Officios), I liked the Murellas best, but I'd take a good MC#2 over it any time.

They are a nice cigar, but I prefer the El Morro, which is about the same size (7 x 49, I believe) and has more of the "old school" San Cristobal flavor profile. A kind of dusty cocoa powder, and very smooth body. So smooth, that they will sneak up on you. Like the el Principe's big brother. The "new" line, including the Officios are nice, but a little more refined. I have a box from '06 that took a couple of years to start to shine.

I have a box from 05 or 06...well made, but not the typical SCDLH profile. These are much lighter in strength.

The La Punta is a great regular production cigar. Spice and complexity...Very consistent over the years.
