Help with small pipe collection...

So, my uncle left me a small collection of pipes years ago, along with a cool holder/tobacco storage deal.

I had them all cleaned by a reputable, local shop about 3-4 years ago, but just could not get into smoking them.

...Maybe "too much" to learn, my impatience, the thought of yet ANOTHER slippery slope...Dunno.

I am now thinking to either trade them or sell them, but the big question is value.

They might be worth a dollar each, and that's fine. (Getting them into the hands of someone who would appreciate them is the goal, here)

So here are some pics, arranged in pairs. Under each pic is any/all inscriptions I could read on the stems.
I would guesstimate that they were all bought around the 1960's or 1970's, and I am pretty sure one is a Ben Wade
Any help in determining exactly what they are, and any sort of ballpark value (which I realize is extremely subjective) would be very much appreciated!

TOP PIPE: "Hilson VIVA Belgium 37"
BOTTOM PIPE: "The Tinder Box Unique Made in England"

TOP PIPE: (no markings, assuming it’s a Ben Wade)

I can't really help you out on value other than suggesting you hit ebay and see what others are selling for. I personally have a Hilson I paid $15 for and a Sunrise (Comoy second) that I paid $8.

Just because I find this kind of stuff interesting, I'll add the following about your collection.

Both "The Tinderbox" (tobacco shop out of California) and the Astley's (tobacco shop out of England) are most likely house pipes that could have been made by any number of manufacturers. Normally house pipes are seconds. The Danish Sovereign is a Stanwell second. I'm no expert on Ben Wade but do think it a little odd for it to be unmarked. Are there any symbols on the stem?

It's always possible it's a Ben Wade second and that's why there are no markings.

I've found the same. No markings on the seconds that get used as basket pipes or house brands. I've seen many unmarked Savinelli like that...

I wish I had more to add than what's been said already...

It's a really nice selection of shapes and, just because they are likely seconds or basket pipes, they may stilll be great smokers.

I agree with the Ebay search, although I suspect most of them you'll find going for around $10-$15. The Freehand (the one suspected of being the Ben Wade second) seems to have a lot of oxidation on the stem. Give it a soak for several hours in a mild Oxyclean bath and then scrub it with a Mr. Clean eraser to remove the oxidation. Not much effort but could be the difference between unloading it for $10 and selling it for $20.

I have no idea Clint but they are beautiful pipes and pipe smoker would be excited to smoke them.
