  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I know we've talked about having a herf in vegas, but how about moving it to playa? started playing around continental.com and airfare around august is almost the same from iah-las (las vegas) as iah-cun (cancun). well, for bj & david and john it would be cheaper to fly into las.

the hotels are almost very reasonable. especially if we split rooms multiple ways.

5/2 update:

I got this email about an apartment in PdC that is available at a ridiculous deal:

ust wanted to let you know that Mike and I are going to sub-let our
apartment in Playa from the second week of April to the end of Sept, early
Oct. It has two bedrooms and a kitchen with a large balcony on two sides
of the apartment. Follow the link below for pictures. The apartment is
located next to the corner of 10th Avenue and 8th Street. Just a couple
blocks from the beach and 5th the main pedestrian street in town. It has
a Vonage phone and Internet access.

We are charging $250 per week.

I am planning on June dates not sure of the exact day yet.

Tourist visas are issued when you go through immigration at the airport. They normally stamp/issue 30 days unless you ask for something different. I believe they will issue up to 180 days , then you must leave mexico for a day and re-enter. Most do this by going down to Beliez (sp)? and coming back. If the immigration guy wont listen to your reasons you can go back and ask for an extension. If you do this you must prove you have the money to stay and wont be working while you are in mexico without your FM-3.

Dont forget I am a school teacher who only works 187 days a year this is how I am able to spend so much time at the apartment down there )

600 sqft 4th story 'penthouse' apartment 2 blocks back from the beach in the middle of town on calle 15. Livingroom, kitchen, balcony, back porch, one bedroom , one bath. While I do have hammock hooks built in the walls, the rustico futon would be much easier on the back. :0) We are thinking of going from june 15th - july 15th (wife and I) and I may or may not stay longer solo. Would be great to hang with ya down there. Scott and I smoked a shieeet load of cgars and drank mas mojitos when he came down on the ship.

Yeah...considering how much time you'll actually be staying at the casa. I can only think of a few reasons to be hanging at the casa while in PdC...shit..shower...shave...sex!

That is a pretty good looking place for mexico. You can tell that gringos own it lol. But the price per week is whack...that is probably how much a whole months worth of rent should be especially in Playa where everyting is cheaper then Coz. Then again if many are splitting that amt then it is no big deal. We will be down all of july for sure as week as memorial day weekend.

I hope to see a bunch of you for an epic herf in paradice!!! First round of Sol is on me :O)

mike

EDIT****

Last weekend there was $199 round trip air fair to cozumel leaving from Htown. You never know when deals will spring up to coz or cancun. More deals to the latter location for sure

we should really organize a herf in paradise in mexico next year.

I'm afraid this place won't be available. sounds like it's a one time thing as the gringo owners live there.

maybe we can have it at mike's in cozumel.
