  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

penetrated my nostrils as an Acid smoker decided to sit next to me as I smoked a Padron Anni. I had to get up and leave before I PUKED. This guy wanted to talk cigars, but I had to make a quick getaway. Nothing personal against fans of these aromatic cigars, but they make me gag. That is my review of the week.

man, I couldn't have said it better...I know, smoke what you like, but those aren't cigars! and they will ruin a smoking experience if you're near one!

Ron I have to agree, even though that is kind of what I started smoking a years or so back. The Acids, Kahula's, and Java's. They were pretty cool back then. But now just the smell of the cigar itself isn't appealing. I tried a Acid Kuba Kuba last week when I was all Conjested and didn't want to ruin a good cigar. Even plugged up it didn't taste good at all.

Our B&M wont allow them to be smoked in the shop, although he carries the Kaluha. I was in Phoenix over the 4th of July and was tring out a brand new B&M in Mesa that is right next to the new Bass Pro Shop. I figured this had to be heavens crossroads. I went in and bought a nice La Gloria from the guy and sat down to enjoy the history channel. I thought it was funny because it is a good sized shop with a pool table and no one was there on a Saturday evening. AS I was getting comfortable, the owner goes to his private locker and pulls out and acid cigar. He lit it and proceeded to tell me all the delights of the cigar. I smiled and thanked him for the stick I was smoking and left. He is probably still wonders why he doent have any customers.

The Acids although flavored are well constructed. I like a select few of them. I think they are a bit pricey however. I've never actually been around another person smoking one. Is the second hand that toxic to the nose? I thought a lot of the candy was simply in the sweetened tip.

No. They have a very peculiar aroma. See Ron's first post.

With the great thread title I wasn't sure how much fun Ron was poking at...

Are there times where non-flavored cigars are being smoked and any of you find them really irritating?

I mostly smoke outdoors by myself :scratchhe

I can only remember once. A group of four of us were going into LA for cigars, dinner and etc. I was driving my Navigator and we had the windows down. One of the guys had a bundle cigar that whe he lit it up stunk to high heaven. I mean we all thought something had died in the back seat. We had to pull over and make him put it out. It was truly that bad.

All three of the rest of us gave him a nice cigar to smoke for the night. Come to think of it; he made out like a bandit.
