  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I wasn't sure where to post this. I figured this would be the best place...

I'm in the process of buying a new home & plan to set up a bar. The bar will include the usual bar stuff, but I'd also like to get a cigar section in there...I'm thinking maybe 2 vinotemps (cigar/wine) as well as a counter with storage underneath.

I'm open to suggestions & any ideas...
If you have a bar or any kind of designated drink/smoke area... share away!

I'm thinking this is a good start...

2 zones for wine & cigars. The only thing is that this model can't be 'built in'. So, I'm not sure where I'd stick it...

Don't know how many cigars you'r planning on storeing, but a Vino is way bigger than you need to display a nice selection of singles for guests. I keep a small humidor inside my big one with a sampler of fairly good smokes (leave lid cracked) and when I have company pull it out and set it on the table in the smoking area. This also, also allows me to control what people can help themselves to. There are only a few special guests that get to walk back to the main storage and discuss what the options are. Where will your smoking are be? I think setting that up is a bigger challenge than the bar and humidor.

Keep in mind your cigars like 60-70 degrees and your wine likes much colder.

Well, I'm not allowed to smoke in the house. :crying:
So, I'm just doing this as a hosting for guests. I like the idea of keeping a humidor in there to control what guests are allowed and I should mention I plan on keeping my coolerdor. So, this is really just gonna be for show not really storage. I just wanna be able to access all the goods (alcohol & cigars) in one area. I don't like having to walk my guests over to my closet where I keep my coolerdor :smokingme
