  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Homemade wine... sort of...

I like some of the comments. Kids making prison hooch in school lockers!

As an on-again off-again homebrewer I know how difficult it can be just getting beer and wine to ferment without going "off". No mention of sanitizing anything. Just think of all the sugar loving bactieria that can get into the bottle and turn it sour. It's difficult enough getting 'bees' into store-bought cider these days now that it is all pasteurized. Bacteria grow much quicker than yeast.

Oh, dude, it's a terrible idea on so many levels, but the'll sell a million of 'em before people lose interest or they find a way to ban it.

I already ordered a kit. :)

I noticed that it comes with a rubber stopper and airlock. So if one brews beer or wine all they would need to do is buy the yeast.

Right I have serious questions about their yeast. I bet the stuff tastes bad but I did find an article saying how it made decent drink with Welch's grape juice. However with their advice to drink it young that is made to hide the nasty flavors produced by the low quality yeast living in an environment lacking proper nutrients for fermentation.
