Gold Coffee (aka Horse Shit) by Phd Stogies (@Hopduro)
#21 Ecuador ligero wrapper (EL)
Wrapper looks and feels like suede. Smells like hay and cocoa. Cut and light.
First third - nice hay, coffee, and cedar with some sweetness. The flavor profile is familiar to me but I can't place it. I've never had this one from @Hopduro but it reminds me of something I've had before. I'll place it soon. Let's get back to this cigar...
Draw is perfect and this little guy is producing a lot of thick, chewy smoke. Cedar normally isn't a flavor I like but this one is blended to my liking.
Of course! Psyko Seven Natural. This cigar reminds me of that. I may be totally off on the tobaccos but that's what I'm tasting. And for the record, I really like the Psyko Sevens.
Second third - the cedar is either fading or blending really well into some leather & wood notes along with some coffee and nut flavors. So this stick is moving around a bit.
Got to be patient with this one. Like most cigars, the flavors become harsh if you smoke it too hot. Slow down on the time between draws and this things explodes with flavors.
As much as I'm enjoying this, I'm really distracted trying to guess if Brendon was trying to make a homeroll like the Psyko Seven he so likes (and bombs people with) or if that was a coincidence (or if I just have no idea what I'm talking about!!).
Final third - Still getting some nice coffee and sweetness to go with a cedar finish. This is a great smoke. Really enjoyed it.
Thanks Brendon for sending this one along. I have a few more of yours I'm aging right now and looking forward to ashing soon enough.
P.S.
If you've read this far, you should really bomb @Hopduro (I'll give you his addy).
