Flying to Nashville with the wife for a little weekend getaway right now. Where can I find the best hot chicken? ( or bbq) I’d much rather support a small locally owned place then the commercial stuff that’s recommended by google.

I like the Dickle Rye. The others are good but that’s my favorite of the offerings.

Lots of great BBQ in Nashville, don't be afraid to check yelp and all those sites/apps.
But for something different, the white BBQ chicken sandwich at the hole in the wall place behind McDonald's at centennial Park is fantastic.

Get yourself some Bolton’s hot chicken. It’s definitely the best from my experience. My suggestion would be to order the tenders or the chicken on a stick though because it’s not as messy so there’s less chance you’ll get the spices in your eyes if you accidentally wipe your face wrong. https://www.boltonsspicy.com/

We ended up going to peg leg porker tonight and it was pretty damn good. Glad to hear about some other local spots though. Well have to check those out tomorrow.
