Right now, in El Cajon, CA it's about 99 degrees outside. Scorcher! I don't like to smoke, unless the sun can light my cigar!
I'm going to eat some ice cold chopped watermelon from the fridge!

How do -You- beat the heat???

I added a second air conditioner to the RV. So far that seems to alleviate a lot of the problems.

dude, my fat a$$ would DIE in AZ! then again, that 12% humidity has to help. here in the ohio valley, we ger RH's to match our temperatures. i think i would rather have 112/12 that 95/90.

thankful that my garage is under my house, so my man cave is actually partially a cave! although i think tommyboy posted in a thread just like this some ingenious usage of a kiddy pool and fans... bootleg as all hell, but it sounded like it worked! o)

Yeah, it's like 107 here in West Hills...Sucks!

As far as smoking in the heat, I do have a plan....A bit later, I plan to grab the hose and water the front yard while enjoying a nice cigar :)

Holy shit man. Do you ever get used to heat like that?![/QUOTE]

Yes and no. I will take 3 months of extreme heat in exchange for 9 months of great weather. I am originally from Chicago were its humid or snowing. No humidity here and you don't have to shovel sunshine in the winter. I try to stay inside when it's over 110. 105 or less is not bad at all

Wait til summer rolls around down here. I'll post you a great screenshot of the temp.
To stay cool though, it's usually a case of shorts and singlets, and stay inside. Unless you're heading to a pool, or other air conditioned building ;)

With the lack of humidity, it really isn't that bad. Our project last summer, had us outside where it was 110+, direct sun, no shade, no humidity. I will take that every day of the year, over 90 with Midwest/East coast humidity. Although, it was a shock when we pulled into AZ at 4AM this morning, and it was 90...

It's been pretty manageable all summer in the midwest, but is definitely cooler (early autumn weather) tonight. Although it seems we did just get out of a drought. I'd say it's been around the 80/90s around here for the past couple months.

WHen the weather is bad, I smoke in the garage with the door open. It's been crazy hot here lately, so getting out of the sun and having a fan blowing on my is great. Allows me to smoke bigger sticks, otherwise I'd have to be smoking only tres-petites right now!

Also, cold-brewed coffee instead of hot coffee.

It's been hovering around the mid to high 90's, if not in the 100's, in the L.A. County area for about the past 2 weeks....how I'm beating the heat? By spending every possible second at work and getting paid for it :stretchgr

I take a cruise to Alaska when the heat is really on...nothing better than staring at icebergs and wearing a jacket to beat the heat.

105 or less with a mister system running will cool the temps here in AZ quite a bit. At 110 or up, it is hard to sit outside and smoke. Like most have said, the low humidity helps us a lot for good smoking weather, but makes it much tougher to take care of a humi lol.

I can't stand smoking a stick in real hot weather. Living in Louisiana I smoke at the lounge June, July, August, and most of September. Last month I was in Phoenix and man that was hot stuff.... no thank you!!
