Humi inside Wine Cooler

I found a good deal on a Wine Cooler. I'm thinkin about pullin the trigger. If I get it do you think it would be a good idea to put a humi inside? I'm thinkin maybe the finish on the outside will somehow taint the aging process with cigars inside the Wine Cooler. There is no smell coming from the finish, so I'm not sure. Do you think I could put it in there, or should I just stay away from it and buy empty boxes?

Yea, leave the humi on the desk and get some cedar shelves for the inside.
