  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Okay, get your mind out of the gutter, it's a new limited release beer by Tyranena out of Lake Mills, WI. The beer is an ImperialRye Porter Aged in rye whiskey Barrels. It's has a nice earthy flavor to it with a slight classic porter finish.

After this I am going to move on to a Bell's Double Cream Stout, the a Point Whole Hog Raspberry Saison. I don't know why I buy these beers brewed with fruit because I never like them....guess I am holding out hope to find a good one.

I think the issue with some fruited beers is that some use just flavor extract and some use actual fruit. The latter actually tasting much better and not overly fruity. The ones that add either fruit syrups or extract tend to have too much fruit. Sort of like Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat. That stuff tastes like a dum dum lollipop!
