So yesterday I went to the pier to fish, I haven't been fishing in about 7 years to be honest, but my buddy does and we've been fishing a couple times this summer already. Anyways this time I decide I want to use live squid instead of a lure and go buy some, jesus is that boring. I should have brought my cigars, last time I brought them I didn't get a chance to smoke them because I was constantly casting out.
Anyways an hour into fishing some divers go out and they are swimming directly in front of where we were fishing. I found this rude, as they could swam around because we really were not casting very far. While about 15 minutes later I get a small tug and then my pole starts bending, I try to reel it in but it's just so much fight this fish is giving me. I let out some line and it goes fast. I start reeling it in again and I'm dragging this big ass fish in (at least I think) then I give it a good yank and I'm free about 10 seconds later I see a SCUBA diver come up.
By the looks of things I dragged him a couple feet, I was really disappointed it wasn't a fish. But at least the SCUBA diver learned a lesson, don't swim right where people are casting.
