  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I don't know if I like the pro bowl early?

It really doesn't matter to me, as I don't usually care too much about the Pro Bowl. I can see why they are doing it--to increase interest in it. After the SB everyone is done with football, so it makes sense to put it before the big game.

They should just eliminate it ... along with the other "all-star" games in baseball, hockey, etc.

the only reason players even went to the pro-bowl was the excuse to go to hawaii. no one wants to play, hence no one wants to attend. They should change back to after the superbowl and change it to a charity game. Maybe the stars would be more willing to participate if it would allow them to support thier favorite charities. Still wouldn't watch it though

Where players go to play
It still shocks me that anyone would play in these games...I mean think about it. Not really picking up money but chance spending your off season out of commission and possibly effecting the rest of you carrier. Now I know that they don't go as hard as a season or post season game...but if it were me...I would be in Miami on the beach...drinking margaritas...smoking cigars!

While I'm not a big fan of the pro bowl as I used to be. I did watch a little bit of it. I for sure don't like the idea of having it before the Super Bowl. That sucks that us fans don't get to see any Colt's or Saint's players because of this.:disappoin

I actually like it better. Never really paid much attention to it before, except to see which Steelers made it. I actually watched 3/4 of this one. If my team were in the Super Bowl, I wouldn't give a crap that they weren't in the Pro Bowl. From a player standpoint, I'm sure they don't mind missing the Pro Bowl for the Super Bowl and it gives more players a chance to play. I do wonder how it will affect the stats if they are voted in but don't play does it still count as a Pro Bowl year for them? What about people who wouldn't have played except now they do as the other player is in the SB.

it's an honor to be picked, but there was little effort until the end. then the extra 20k ish made them pick it up a little. i'm thinking that by playing the week before the sb they wouldn't have to compete with daytona for viewership. while not all nfl fans are nascar fans, i bet a majority are.

Doesn't make any difference as the players play at about 60% level and its like watching touch football anyway. It would be nice to see the Super Bowl Team players playing but when you put the Pro Bowl before the Super Bowl you're never going to see either teams put their players out there to play.

To me it doesn't matter since I have never watched it. I do feel they should do away with it, a lot of first pick stars are no longer playing in it anymore.

It doesn't matter to me, really... I don't normally watch unless there is nothing else on and I have nothing to do. I don't care when they play it.
