  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I need wood....

That bomb may inflict some damage haha

What kind of smokers are you guys using where you need chunks of wood versus using splits?
I smoke on a kettle grill, I may mod a ECB and make it set it and forget it.

Primo Oval XL now, used to use the WSM. Even in the old chargriller I had, I used lump and chunks.

I have never had one of those big fancy smokers.
Primos are awesome!! One of these days I would like to get one of those for the back patio. The WSM's are a great smoker, I have the new 22'' model and it's great for my small cooks, even use it for my chicken at competitions.
god I'd love either...a primo xl is amazing.

Before you mod out an ECB, you should check out building a UDS, Upright Drum Smoker. They are extremely easy to build and hold heat very well. I know of a team that won the American Royal BBQ contest using them.
