Ice Molds?

Wife is beginning to enjoy a glass or two of bourbon with me but she prefers her whiskey with a large chunk of ice. Can anyone recommend a brand of ice mold? Many of the reviews on Amazon complain about a lingering silicon smell in the mold. Do you prefer the round of square molds?

I have these, ordered from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Love them. No bad taste. Great size, pretty easy to use. Clear part is plastic, grey top is silicon.

If I am enjoying over a cube then I like the rounds. The glacio style previously posted works well for me.

Thanks for the replies. Going to have to buy some round molds to keep her happy but the video is really Interesting., The Macgyver in me wants to give it a try.

nothing I love more than a 4 LB ice cube pounding my nose as I drink my whiskey.

Depends on your glass. I have a 6-cube silicone tray that my parents I think got me years ago. Still works great. Never really use it unless it's an ice cube for the dog or my wife needs ice. They get more use of it than I do.
