  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I'm on a "list"

well I wasn't allowed to print out my boarding passes before my flights. on the way back yesterday I actually asked the lady behind the counter why I had to come up to them and she said I was on the "no-fly" list.

only logical explanation is that dhs put me on a list by my ordering activity, but that could be the paranoid dude in me talking. but I have been getting boxes snatched, inspected, delayed and cut up a lot more frequently than ever. almost all of my overseas charges on my card get initially declined. and I've noticed that parts I get shipped in for work get held up by customs. I'm having to go to my broker more frequently. this could be purely coincidental...or just the "man" keeping me down.

anyone know how I can clear my name from the list, or am I fucked for a while?

you have to stop being a terrorist before you get cleared.

Seriously, I would bet that it is a royal pain to get cleared, or even to find out "how/why" you got on there. You should start be going to the DHS website and calling around for basic info.

yeah, I asked a cop friend of mine about that. he basically said or heard that they don't really (TSA/DHS) give you a procedure to clear your name or get a specific reason why you are on there. his brother is stationed at the airport and he's going to see what he can dig up.

What the hell have you been doing in your spare time?

Kidding. Hope you can clear your name off that list.

I just move a lot of big ticket items in and out of the country. could be purely coincidental. a friend of mine was detained in customs last week because a wanted guy has about the same name as he does. he said the agents told them it might take up to 3 months for his name to be taken off the list. I might have to wait this shit out for a bit.
