Well I had a friend coming in from the west coast that I know from another board. Normally we'd just go have dinner and drinks at a buddies house but he was out of town. So I asked Gary if he was down for meeting some great friends that I've met locally, he was down. So I called Jere and Rich and Rich was out(so he said, FUGGER:cbig
but Jere got Craig and I was thinking this will be great. We met up at the Casa cuz I had to have Gary see that place as it is quite a club.
So I get my family stuff done in the morning get out the house p/u a bottle of scotch and head to O'Hare to p/u Gary. We zip out to Countryside, IL to head over to the Casa and we make it right on time. I'll be damned if Rich's friggin Aquaman truck is in the damn lot, damn bro was surprising me and it was HIS BDay!!! What a treat to have 3 local friends to make the west coaster feel welcome, love it! So we walk in and Gary is like "wow" what a nice shop and there is Craig having his greetings with Gary and for me it's always a pleasure to see Craig. We grab a few stix and head downstairs via elevator of course that you can smoke in, oh and if you have to take a dump the bathrooms are cigar friendly also in case anyone was wondering, I love that!
So we head on down and there are the gents Jere and Rich, awesome! Gary was really having a blast with the surroundings. Let the herf begin!!!! Just fantastic conversation and wonderful libations. Jere had some great "old school" bourbon. The old recipe from prohibition days, which I must say was a real treat. Dark Lord beer was to be had and some Bourbon County reserve, unreal! The cigars were fantastic as it was like Christmas in May. Then to cap it all off since Rich and Jere know the area way better than I we had some just fantastic BBQ.
I want to give a very public shoutout to my 3 buddies for meeting up with us and just having a great time. It was fantastic!!!
