Hey Guys,

Looking for a burr grinder ( i love my french press) that doesn't make a mess all over your countertop.
I had a burr grinder a couple years ago, made a friggin mess every time i used it so I just buy pre ground coffee now. I've been missing my french press but I'll need a grinder again.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

my suggestion would be to not get a cheap burr grinder.

I will look to see which one I have but I think I paid around a hundred for it. (that's still cheap compared to really good ones but it's decent)

Is it bad if I just buy a half pound of beans and have the shop grind it for french press? How long until those beans go bad/lose flavor?

THis is what i've been doing as almost all of my belongings are in storage right now. I've been using it mainly for cold press and i go through a ton so i have not noticed any flavor loss.

I've been using the Cuisinart DBM-8 ($50.00) for espresso for a couple years. Give the reservoir a tap on the counter before opening, and it's relatively clean. (Barely) fine enough for my use.

Some good stuff to consider here. Thanks a bunch!
I'm mainly looking to do cone filter grind and cold brew grind.

Would that 40 dollar bad boy do the trick? I won't be making espresso any time soon. Not enough counter space to even consider getting a set up.

Thanks!
