  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Interview Today!

I have two sets of interviews today for a position at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf!
With the Disney position STILL in limbo, this is a great opportunity.
My only fear is salary, which has already been described to me by HR as "a lot less than your past employer"......:crytears:

So, we'll see what happens!

First set is at 3:00, next is at 4:00.

Any thoughts and prayers are more than appreciated, and I'll update this thread accordingly.

Thanks

Just tell them your level of effort you put forward with ALSO be "a lot less than your past employer", see how you do...lol

Seriously though, best of luck!

Go get em, don't worry about the salary at least you'll be working.
Absolutely agreed
Just have to carefully crunch the household budget if the salary is close to what unemployment pays....Child care, gas, and all the wonderful little deductions that are extracted from each paycheck will have to be factored.

Best of luck. I too was in your same situation 2.5 years ago. Unemployed/recently laid off, a wife working part time and a six month old at home.

Not the best of times but in the end I've come out ahead!

At the very least, I am sharpening my interview skills, and presenting myself and my experience to a good company......That is all very good !

Good luck, Clint.

I would hope its going to pay more than unemployment. Even if its comparable, the fact that you would be working is a big benefit in the eyes of future employers. Some of the companies I work with have policies in place where they won't even look at candidates who have been out of work for more than a certain number of months.

This is very true, and a great point.

Again, we'll see what happens.

Thanks for all the support, guys :)

Good luck brother! Go kill em at the interview. If you get this job, doesn't mean you have to stop interviewing at other places. Most employers like their candidates to already have employment.
