BoM August 2010/2011
I couldn't help but put the picture of this cigar before any text. The LFD fanatics around here have been waiting for this marca to come out in the LG Diez line for a while. I was fortunate enough to get one of these from the LFD booth.
This new size in the Dominican Puro line should be available by the end of August or beginning of September.
Cutting the lancero with my Palio, the pre-light draw held a fresh flavor of clean tobacco, which was slightly woody. The first third of the cigar was woody, with a decent amount of spice and pepper (but not too heavy). There was a slight creaminess and cedar to it on the backend.
The second third of the lancero had cedar/wood in the forefront, with a little cream and spice. The pepper that had been present at the beginning had almost disappeared.
The final third of the cigar was cedar filled, mixed with a little spice, and was slightly creamy.
Overall this cigar lasted close to 2.5 hours...I may have been slow playing it. But I really enjoyed this smoke. I cannot wait to get some more of these. It had a perfect burn, and a fairly white, tight, yet somewhat flaky ash.
