  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Reinado is a new cigar line that was introduced this year at IPCPR. It is a Nicaraguan puro, and will be available in 3 formats: robusto, torpedo and churchill. I was able to get a robusto at the booth. It is 5.5x50, and has a dark tan, oily wrapper. Very well constructed, some veins, but not major.

The first third of the Reinado was creamy, and had flavors of dry hay/grass. A sweetness in the background was combined with cinnamon and spice to round out the flavors.

The creaminess was diminished moving into the middle third of the cigar. Now a leafy flavor was present, but with a stronger flavor of spice and cinnamon. Hints of cedar also worked into the background.

The last third of the Reinado became woody. The creamy profile diminished to the background, while the spice, cinnamon and cedar ramped up even more.

I was very impressed with the Reinado. It had a great combination of flavor, which changed quite well throughout the cigar. I would recommend that you give this one a try. I know I will look for some more to include in the usual rotation.

Overall burn time was close to 1:45.

You had me at cinnamon, lol.

New company, huh? Cool. The flavor profile you describe here sounds right up my ally! Hopefully these will show up online so I can try a few. Thanks for the review, brotha!

The people at Reinado friended me on Facebook. I was like, what the hell is this? Now I got to get some. Thanks for the review and opening my eyes to something I would have otherwise shot down.
