Next up is the fourth of six different cigars from Curivari. This next one is a medium body cigar called Seleccion Privada. The format that I had available is a robusto format.
This cigar has a light tan wrapper, which is slightly oily, and has a little tooth to it. Cutting the well formed triple cap with my Palio, the pre-light draw tasted of clean tobacco leaves.
The first third of the Seleccion Privada was creamy and filled with the flavor of dry grass, mixed with bits of honey, graham cracker and spice. The burn was a razor edge, and the ash was a bright white, and slightly flaky.
The creaminess started to fade some as it moved into the second third. The spice, actually I could now taste nutmeg, began to increase, while honey, graham cracker and and little bit of pepper mixed in the background.
The final third of the cigar had no real cream left. The main flavor was of dry leaves. Nutmeg, honey and graham cracker helped to round out the flavor, keeping this a flavorful cigar to the end.
Now, I am not one to smoke a lot of medium strength cigars, as I usually tend towards the fuller strength smokes. However, I did enjoy this cigar, and will find a way to get some more of these. However, I do not place it above the other three Curivari that I have smoked....but it is not because it is a bad cigar. I just would prefer the fuller body cigars more.
Overall burn time was about 80 mins.
