  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Atlantic threw in one of the Robustos with a recent order. It was a very pretty looking, very dark, and very toothy cigar. Looked a lot like a Liga Privada wrapper to me so I looked it up. Turns out the 76 is an Atlantic exclusive that has been around for a year or so. Interestingly, it has an Ecuadorian stalk cut "Havano" wrapper. Not sure if that is any different than the more commonly used term "Habano". Aside from that, I could not find a single review and hardly even a reference to it on the web.

Gave it a couple weeks to settle in and fired it up this morning after breakfast.

Started off medium bodied but very smooth with predominantly leathery flavor and just a touch of sweetness.

After about an inch a nice cedar woodiness is there on the finish, and the subtle sweetness and a very faint peppery spice are there through the nose.

From there it stays consistent but ramps up slightly as it progresses.

Medium bodied/medium+ strength by the end, and not a foul flavor from start to finish. Draw and burn were perfect. If you like the profile of an LP #9 or PCR, I would say these are worth a try. I just picked up another fiver along with a box each of Casa Fernandez and Viaje Exclusivo Lanceros.

Interesting. Stalk cutting is how they do the tobacco for the T52 wrappers. Seeing as how I like me some LP, may have to seek a few of these out.
