  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Pretty, smooth, dark wrapper with good band presentation. Dark grey cracked ash that was decently sturdy. The draw started off very tight but loosened up I smoked it, and became perfect about half way through. The burn was a little uneven, but not terrible.
This was medium/light bodied smoke with a cedar like core with a very subtle spice. It was creamy through the entire smoke and lacked a whole lot of complexity. This cigar needs some time in the humidor to mature and bring out its hidden potential. It was a pretty consistent smoke, but didn’t blow me off my feet by any means. This is not a bad attempt at a good cigar, but the blend needs a little work to compete in today's cigar market. Reminded me of the Rocky Patel Vintage sries, but was a little smooth and a little lighter.Smoke was nice and thick once the draw opened up, and its lack of harshness made for a nice evening smoke. Finished the same way it began.:noemotion

I havent heard a ton about this cigar so anybody elses input would be appreciated on what I can expect from the next one. Cheers all!:smokingbo

I just smoked the Corona at lunch. Good looking cigar that enjoyed thouroghly. Good ash, draw was even though out. Strong finish. The Corojo wrapper on this is a very nice shade. I'm not sure it's an $8 stick, but I see them all over online for $7, so I guess that's fair considering the OC markup.

I had a J Fuego Natural Robusto yesterday. Nice cigar. Oily thick wrapper. Lots of smoke at taste. I didnt see the corojo but they have a Gran reserve Maduro. A little pricey but it looks good. Where did these come from? Tatuaje rep brought this guy into the shop and introduced him.

Jesus Fuego was the Master Blender that started with Rocky Patel. That's really all I remember.

Just smoked one of these cigars as a part of the DWSC CLub. It was a decent smoke, with a good draw and no burn issues. I agree with Luke's review for the most part, but rate this one a little higher, an 8.1 It was nothing outstanding, but still a good overall smoke. I will definitely smoke this one again. Actually, I smoked the Gran Reserva No 1...

I have only smoked one Fuego, it was a custom roll for Bethesda Tobacco, about $10 a stick. It was a damn fine cigar, real fruity and citrusy.

I agree on the natural. I'll keep an eye out for the corojo and the maduro.

We had a J. Fuego event at our local shop last summer and the sticks were awesome fresh. The last couple that I have, I am gonna break one out this weekend based on this string.
