The cigar is then finished with a dark coco colored wrapper, this beauty a Connecticut grown Broadleaf wrapper adds rich flavors of coco, earth, wonderful maduro flavors with a hint of sweetness. The Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial Limited Edition 2011 are produced only in a Toro size measuring 6½ inches by 52 and are full bodied. First I must thank JDog...These sticks were part of his bombing campaign run on me.
I smoked the Broadleaf on Friday and the connecticut on Sunday.

The Broadleaf...On The Light
Fist I must say that both of these cigars are beautiful. You can tell the craftsmanship of these cigars is top notch. The weight and feel of these cigars is very nice and smooth, almost oily to the touch.
Lighting up the Maduro I was greeted by alot of white pepper and typical tabacco flavor. I would say that this lasted about half an inch before the pepper took a back seat and it started to settle into a sweet tabacco and leather flavor. I was also getting very nice hints of what I thought tasted like plum's. It complemented the cigar very well and I found that a very nice surprise. This pretty much covered the first third of the cigar.

The Connecticut...On The Light
This cigar had a little kick to it. Just a small amount of pepper on the light with a harsh tobacco taste and some bitterness. This however did not last very long. This cigar quickly changed after about an inch into some very nice flavors. Although the harshness of this cigar was still a bit annoying the flavors it was starting to produce were amazing. Smooth creamyness with leather, cashew, and creamy coffee...Yum!

The Broadleaf...Second Third
This is where this cigar hits a very nice sweet spot. With Leather, dark coffee, and still sweet plum. This cigar just has nice depth and a solid mixture of flavor. Every puff is smooth, balanced, and flavorfull.

The Connecticut...Second Third
Just as it's counterpart this cigar shines getting into the second third. It is so nice and smooth. Very nice sweet cream, cashew and leather. very, very impressed. I am digging this cigar alot.

The Broadleaf...Final Third
As with the second third it holds onto the flavors but becomes a little more intense with the rich tabacco flavor taking over. Even a hint of the white pepper I thought showed up again. To me this cigar is very bold and keeps your attention on every puff you take. I felt this cigar kept this profile in the final third untill I had to put it down. Med-Full strength throughout.

The Connecticut...Final Third
The final third of this cigar was just perfect. It did pick up a little with some harshness in the smoke but it didn't matter at all. The flavors rolling on my tongue were so nice and enjoyable. The creamyness, cashew, and sweet leather was just amazing. I haven't smoked a Connecticut that tasted like this before and I didn't want it to end. Medium strength throughout.
Final Thoughts on Both
Both of these cigars has something different going on. They have a perfect draw and I only had slight burn issued towards the end on both. The quality on both of these cigars is very apparent and I wish I could afford to have both in my rotation on a permanent basis (about $16 a stick). Both of these cigars took around an hour and a half to smoke and gave off wonderfull amounts of smoke.
Without a doubt I'd say you have to try both of these if you can. Just a very nice smoke and I tip my hat to Mr. Garcia for a job well done and I'd love to see the Connecticut shade made as a regular release as well...Please!!
Thanks for your time!
