Hoping to use independent (non-Habanos) farmers. I would bet that overcoming any US Government obstacles would pale in comparison to overcoming the Cuban Government's resistance to the idea but If you don't ask........

I doubt it will happen, for the political reasons mentioned in the article, but its something I've wanted for decades. Cuban tobacco cigars rolled with NC factory quality control.

I could totaly get behind the NC rolling quality!

My concern with blending Cuban tobacco is that it may take away the dimensions and progression the cigars takes from start to finish.

The thing about great NC smokes , for me anyway, is that they are consistent from start to finish. Which is great...
But that takes away the build up/ flavor change that I love about smoking Cuban puros.

Good NC’s do have that, a little bit.
Just not as big of a swing that I experience in cc’s. That’s part of the love I have for the havanas
